Paradise Lost

This is a poem I wrote in January of 2012, after reading the 17th-century English poet, John Milton's Paradise Lost:

This is the legend of the fallen who committed high treason

Gave life to death with no cure for the lesion

The Adversary of God and Men allowed for a reason
Beauty not appeasing so this Angel turned Demon
Monster
Dreams burned of evil scheming
Lusted for a throne built by the Divine Being
High, Exalted, the son of the morning
And the quintessential purpose was to return the Glory
But the Reflection of His Excellence was enamored with Bliss
As Dark Eyes initialized a plan to uplift
A throne of his own, betrayed with corrupt lips
Now a VVarr against Heaven and Sin & Death would exist
A Jealous Heart deceived, as Death began to breathe
The moment he believed corruption was conceived
To escape the reality and submit to a lie
ascending into the Heavenly Paradise
With foresight The Architect perceived the scheme
Of that who shattered peace in the Heavenly Supreme
The Rebellious Arm conveiced a third of the assembly
Now the Outcast are at VVar, against the Powers
To bow before him, now he's worshipped as a diety
Wickedness in their eyes and they would not coward
Burning Fire and Smoke in the Aire
As Satan's Legions began their warfare
The Angels fought the Dragon until the lowest height
With Clashing shields & flaming swords in the darkest night
They prevailed
They conquered
And a third of the Sons of God were banished without word
Satan in his heart said, that he would never change
And his new home in Pandemonium is where he laid
Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
This is where he would dwell...
(...End...)
As Darkness arose, a new Race called Man is witnessed in the Distance
Created with Majesty and Glory, Favored above the Angels
Pronounced among God, with eternal existence
We shall expose their weakness submitting them to disobedience
Seducing them, they shall fall
And their Paradise Lost along with us al
